Task:
1. Look at the pictures of dogs.
2. Choose two dogs that are different.
3. Write a sentence contrasting your two dogs. Use expanded noun phrases in your sentence, e.g. Huskies have pointy ears but Bassett hounds have floppy ears.
4. Write 4 more dog sentences using the word but.
5. If you use two adjectives in your expanded noun phrase, remember to put a neat comma between them.
Challenge: Think of a fact you know about dogs. Write this down in a full, punctuated sentence. Can you do the same again for another fact?
How many facts can you write in 10 minutes?!

We are learning: Multiplication sentences using the x symbol
Look at this picture:
There are 4 groups. There are 5 stickers in each group. There are 20 stickers altogether.
We can also say:
4 lots of 5 is equal to 20.
A quicker way to say it is: 4 x 5=20
Copy this table onto a piece of paper and fill in the gaps.
Challenge: Can you draw pictures to represent these problems ?
