Topic – week beginning 29th June

St Lucia 

This week I want you to find out about the wildlife in St Lucia.
Look at this sheet in your home school packs:

Choose one of the animals and use the information to make a poster with some interesting facts about it.

Here is an example of what you could do:

You could do research on the internet to find out more information. Remember to get permission from an adult before you use the internet so they can check the websites you look at are suitable for children. Try and find out about the habitat the animal lives in and add that to your poster.

Maths – week beginning 29th June

Starter
Look for this sheet in your home learning pack. Can you answer the questions? When you have finished mark them with the answer sheet in your pack.

Now work through these lessons from the BBC bitesize website. If the lessons involve a work sheet that you are unable to print then just choose the questions that you are able to do by copying them into your maths book.

Spellings
Find this sheet in your home learning pack. Write out these spellings using your best handwriting. Ask someone at home to test if you know them.

Writing
Find this sheet in your home learning pack. Can you write some sentences about the igloo? Try and use some of the key words in your writing. Send me a picture of your work when you have finished.

 

Reading
Now find this sheet in your pack and answer the questions. Remember to read the text carefully. When you have finished use the answers to mark your work.

Grammar
Can you remember where full stops and capital letters need to go? Complete these sheets, putting the full stops and capital letters in the correct places.

We have been making shadow puppets. We used them to perform our own puppet shows. Take a look!
