Growing Potatoes in Rainbow Class

In Rainbow class we have been busy growing, harvesting, cooking and eating potatoes. 

This term we have also been learning about children’s author Michael Rosen and reading Going on a Bear Hunt. Rainbow class made sandwiches and went on a Teddy Bear’s Picnic to Collingwood Children’s Centre garden.

Today we had a lovely afternoon at gala. A massive thank you to the organisers and anyone who helped or came and spent money. We look forward to adding up how much money we have raised towards school funds.

Watching the RAF centenary Fly Past

Today the RAF held the biggest ever London Fly Past to celebrate 100 years since the formation of the Royal Air Force. We all went out to watch and cheer them on.

In years 5 and 6, we have been asking ourselves this important question. By 2050, we will be adults, and will have made big changes to the world we live in through the choices we make.

Is this a good investigation?

Year 6 are learning about what makes us healthy, but how do scientists work out what we need to do to stay healthy? The effects of our diet or lifestyle often take many years before they have an impact on our health so looking for proof can be hard.

Use this activity to set up different scientific investigations. Can you set up a test that shows a clear pattern between the things people do and the impact on their health?

Burglar Alarms
