This Term Year 4 have been studying the Amazon Rainforest. As part of our wider learning, we went to visit Kew Gardens and gained an insight into what living in a rainforest may feel like and searched for answers to questions about whether survival in the jungle is REALLY possible…

Entering the Palm House…

The spectacular Temperate House, with over 10,000 plants in the world’s biggest Victorian glasshouse.

What an amazing trip you had! I love visiting Kew Gardens and seeing all the things in my kitchen cupboards growing on real plants. What were your favourite plants?
Did you decide survival in the rainforest was possible or not?

I remember when I went to Kew Gardens. I slept on the way there. That is a true story! 🙂
