Activity 1, UK Flags

In your packs there is an activity colouring the flags of the countries in the United Kingdom. Here are some pictures to help you.  Which flag is which? Try to find out….

Activity 2, Scotland. Design your own tartan.

Find the sheets in your pack and create a fabulous tartan pattern.

In Scotland tartan is traditional and used for clothes, rugs and many other things. Tartan is a pattern, made by horizontal (going across) and vertical (going up) coloured lines, crossing over each other. The stripes that cross over each other are called setts. These setts are repeated over and over to create the pattern. Here are some to give you some ideas.

Activity 3. Northern Ireland.

In your packs there are some fact cards about Northern Ireland. Using some of the facts and pictures on the cards, make a poster to show people what this place is like. Make sure you mention the capital city Belfast.
