Look at this picture. What things can you see that are alive? 
You might think of the people, the animals and even the plants.
What things have never been alive? You might think of the bin and the playground.
Some things in this picture used to be alive, but they are not alive any more – like the leaves that have fallen on the floor.
How can we tell if something is alive? Watch this video to get some ideas. 
Can you make a poster to show some things that are alive, some things that have never been alive and some things that used to be alive but are not alive any more.
You might need to use these words: grow, reproduce (have babies), get rid of waste (go to the toilet), get nutrients or food and move.
When you have finished your poster, ask someone to send a picture of it to the school: admin@hague.towerhamlets.sch.uk for Alison and maybe your poster will go on the main school blog for everyone to see!
