Floating and Sinking

I want some more bath toys. A good bath toy needs to float. Click on the picture to watch a video showing how I tested some objects in my house to see if they float or sink.

Can you test some objects from your house to find out what floats and what sinks?

Why do you think some objects float and some objects sink?

Ask your mum or dad to post a comment to tell us your ideas.

Rainbows

People have been putting up the colourful creations in their windows to help cheer others up and raise a smile as they spend more time inside.

It’s also fun spotting them if you go out for a walk! So, we want to see your drawings. Whether it’s a bright rainbow, or even a smiley face or multi-coloured handprint.

Art Task: Georgia O’Keefe

Hello Green Class.

Today I have been looking at the beautiful flowers growing in my garden. Can you see what they are called?

These flowers reminded me of an artist called Georgia O’Keefe. She made beautiful big paintings of flowers. Here are some of her paintings.

Look at the different shades of colour she uses. She gets very close to one flower and makes it fill the page.

Can you use your pencils and paint to make a flower painting like Georgie O’Keefe. We would love to see what you manage. This is Sahiba’s picture.

Happy painting.

Alison and Jo
