Zookeepers have to look after their animals very well. The most important job is giving the animals the right food. Did you know not all animals can eat the same food? Watch the video to find out. 
- Most people eat all sorts of different foods. We eat meat, dairy and plants. We are called Omnivores, because we can eat both meat and plants.
- Other animals only eat meat – they kill other animals and eat them. These are animals like lions and tigers. We call these animals: Carnivores.
- The last group of animals only eat plants – like leaves and grass. They are called Herbivores. Can you think of any animals like this?Could you draw one animal for each group and then say what
you would feed that animal if you were the zoo keeper? I have made a zoo keeper’s shopping list. You could do the same. What animals would you like in your zoo. Can you find out what they eat? Are they a herbivore, carnivore or omnivore?
